NATURE AWARENESS

Coyote Mentoring is coming to Northern Ontario Again!

(Bilingual Instruction available)

Learn how the Coyote “teacher-trickster” inspires a compelling need to know, guiding the passion of the student to his or her own learning.

Earth-based cultures from around the world, have taught their children in “invisible schools” for thousands of years through a set of powerful techniques known as Coyote Mentoring.

Coyote’s techniques include story-telling, reflective questioning, and both structured and spontaneous experience. They draw out curiosity, encourage self-sufficiency, cultivate confidence and self-esteem, and develop a profound sense of place in the natural world.

You will gain experience and knowledge that will empower you to:

  • Develop a meaningful personal connection with the natural world.
  • Inspire and empower this and future generations to connect with and care for our world.
  • Recognize the value of children, youth, adults, and elders.
  • Cultivate self-sufficiency, support confidence and self-esteem, and develop a profound sense of place in yourself and others.
  • Incorporate spontaneous play into learning.
  • Apply cultural tools such as music, storytelling, ceremony.

“Nature is the teacher – the mentor is the guide.”

You will sing, laugh, and play!
