FREE - CIF Forestry Teachers Tour
Tuesday August 17th to Friday August 20th, 2010Learn about forest science, research and management in a 4 day/3 night PD experience sponsored by the Canadian Institute of Forestry (www.cif-fic.org). Meet professionals in the field of forest science and research, as well as visiting forestry operations and product mills. A great chance to become more informed! Space limited to 30 teachers. This program is only offered in English but french resources are available
Environmental Science AQ Part I, II, III - For Teachers
Wednesday August 4th to Friday August 13th, 2010 - 80 hour on-site partial distance20 hours of additional On-line assignments and discussions plus a 25 hour practicum or Action Investigation Project are required to complete the required 125 course hours in conjunction with this 80 hour on-site portion of the course.
Examine the philosophy and essential concepts of environmental education. Applicable to teachers in all school divisions and subject matter. A strong knowledge base in Environmental Science is not required. All meals and cabin accommodations are included. Candidates are required to stay on-site for the duration of the on-site portion of this course. Additional fees required.
